Cool Ibiza tips

3 Jul

Plan your next trip to the best island in town — Ibiza / Eivissa — I always do a little research and planning at forehand. I’ve been a regular visitor to the island a in time I’ve collected some real good tips and tricks I thought I’d share with you.

Let’s start with the luggage. No, I will not go into the pack&bag ceremony😉 That’s up to you girls, and yes there’s no such thing as “too much”. But let’s say, for the moment, you decided to travel light, just as a foolish experiment. If so you might decide to do a little island hopping. It’s not only great fun, but you really get to experience the best surprises Ibiza has to offer. Here’s what I like to do from time to time. I’ll stay at a hotel in Ibiza-city for 2 days and settle for another 2 days in Sant Josep. That makes a really cool trip, with some awesome places to stay and party. ! Or even better, get yourself and your friends a hot appartment next to Kumharas.

Now you’re settled the question where to sleep can be a pleasant (and managed!) surprise. But first let’s see what Ibiza has to offer.

Clubbing.

If you’re into clubbing you really do want to go to Pacha. It’s by far the most hottest club on the island. There are many more clubs, but if you want a hot night Pacha is the place to be seen. Call or text Jorge: (+34 686 941 980) or the clubs general landline: +34 97 131 3600 to book a VIP-table (500 euro, 4 persons, free drinks and entrance), or get a door ticket for 90 euros (sorry no table), and drinks for 35 euro each.

Beach:
Of course you want to be part of Ibiza’s famous beach-life too. Here are some great places to spend the day (or night);

At beach Cale Jondal you definitely want to go to the Blue Marlin. Make a reservation at +34 97 14 10 117 or at reservation@bluemarlinibiza.com. On Sundays they feature an awesome guitar player – Paco Sanchez.
For lunch you should really consider the paella at Jumanya right next to the Blue Marlin.
Beach Cala Conte. Nice beach, great restaurant!
Beach Salinas. This is a Jockey Club. You need to make reservations at +34 971 395 788 or office@jockeyclubibiza.com
If you’re into it you might like to visit Ibiza’s nudist beach – Escavallet. I’ve never been there myself, but I guess what to expect is a lot of nude people.
A good and cool place to have brunch is Rita’s Cantina
Best Caparinha’s are served from 9 pm at the Dutch Bar ‘Bar Tulp’
Restaurants.
Some of my favorite restaurants and often the best kept secret for sure are:

El Ayoun. Great bar too btw. If you go there ask for Paco and make a reservation for table 2. You won’t be disappointed. Best to make late (11 pm) reservations.
If you’re into Thai food don’t forget to visit Thai Ibiza City. Walk down Avenue Andanes with its beautiful yaghts along, up the stairs and enter Thai Ibiza City.
For an awesome and sensual sunset do visit one of Ibiza’s best kept secrets La Torre, or Kumarhas where you’ll relive Ibiza’s famous hippie life at Cafe del Mare.
Shopping
There’s no day without shopping. Visit this great site to find the best shops.

That’s all for now, but I’m sure these tips and links will give you a great heads-up for a fabulous stay on Ibiza.
One more thing. Car rental on the airport sucks as in *wait for hours*. Better to travel to the city by cab (Moto Louis is great) and ask your rental car to be delivered at your hotel. If you decided to rent a car (I always do, makes me feel more free and mobile) stop over at Hotel Hacienda, Ibiza’s oldest 5 star hotel, for a delicious lunch and a fantastic view.

That’s it girls. Have a great stay on the island, have lots of managed surprises and don’t forget to leave your comments and more tips on this post, cause when you find a really cool place I really want to know too.

Such a cool sunset at Kumarhas. I really love that place.
